Tip: Keep theme for sudo and root sessions

without comments

If you’ve downloaded themes from the internet you’ll notice they don’t apply to root and/or sudo sessions. Here is how you fix that. Open a terminal up and type the following. Replace “username” with your username.

sudo ln -s /home/username/.themes /root/.themes
sudo ln -s /home/username/.icons /root/.icons
sudo ln -s /home/username/.fonts /root/.fonts

Fantasy Love Hotels: Carousel Room

without comments

Saw this article on Digg about this Japanese alien abduction fantasy hotel. Now that was amusing, but one of the first comments on Digg points out a disturbing room. It’s called the carousel room. Just as disturbing is the caption for the photo:

You can’t fondle a child riding a pony at a real carnival, but in the Carousel Room, anything goes. Pedophiles can live out their fantasies in this private chamber without the fear of arrest or being accosted. And if they can’t coax a real child into some merry-go-round fun, they can just stare at the images of the gleeful toddlers on the wall while they masturbate.

This clearly deserved a WTF?!

Searchmash and Ms. Dewey

without comments

Just wanted to share some search engines. I am (like many) a huge Google user. Recently though I learned about Searchmash. I really like the interface and I was told Google actually owns it.

Another one that is just for fun, Ms. Dewey. I believe it is just an experiment by Microsoft.

Microsoft Firefox! They are so innovative. ;)

Just so I actually post something… Here are my favorite Firefox extensions.

1.Adblock Plus
2.Download Statusbar
3.del.icio.us Bookmarks
4.CustomizeGoogle
5.Menu Editor

Most of these are self explanatory. I love menu editor for maximizing my space. Here is what the menu bar of my Firefox looks like.
